With us, you will go to the Little Carpathians region, which offers, in addition to unexpected natural scenery, endless vineyards and cozy historical towns. We will visit the Červený Kameň Castle, one of the largest and best-preserved castles in Slovakia with an exhibition of historical furniture and a huge wine cellar, and we will also taste local wine and see the production of traditional majolica. At the Červený Kameň Castle, you will learn from our guide why this royal castle from the 13th century was given its colorful name and how, instead of storing copper, there are wine cellars of gigantic dimensions in the former residence of the Pálffy family. After a walk through the castle park, we will offer you regional specialties and wines in a traditional ale-house or we will prepare an unforgettable tasting experience in the Pezinok Palace or modern Elesko. The program will be enriched by a visit to a family ceramic workshop, where guests will be able to try out the production of traditional majolica.
We recommend to combine with: lunch in a traditional restaurant or modern winery, flight demonstration of falconers, performance of a fencing group, possibly a knightly dinner, or visit to smaller wine makers and tasting of local wines.
What you will see: Červený Kameň Castle and its exhibits including a giant wine cellar (during season craft markets are held and children will enjoy small ZOO), traditional ceramic workshop for the production of majolica in Griňava.
Tour duration: 4-5 hours, depending on your discretion, time and condition 🙂
